What is a dual credit course?
Through CCU partnership, approved HPCS faculty teach dual credit courses, allowing students to earn both honors high school and transferable college credit through college-level coursework.
How much does it cost?
CCU Academy dual credit courses are offered at a reduced rate compared to CCU’s traditional cost per credit hour. Each course is $250.
Is CCU accredited?
Yes, CCU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, so all courses offered are also regionally accredited. Learn more about CCU accreditations here.
What HPCS courses are available as dual credit through CCU?
Will Credits Transfer?
CCU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, so credits transfer to colleges/universities nationwide. Institutions differ on how they accept dual credits. Contact institutions of interest regarding credit transfer prior to registering. Refunds are not offered if courses do not transfer.
Will students who complete courses still be freshmen in college?
Most colleges/universities consider students entering college from high school as freshman, regardless of credit hours earned by dual credit. Policy is set by individual colleges or universities.
